We are thrilled to be working in Partnership with Thrive GIVE (Generating Income for Voluntary Enterprises) and their partner ASCEND to deliver training and development opportunities to their residents across multiple topics: from health & safety to soft skills. Thrive Homes are a long-standing client for PiLON and Thrive Homes’ partner, ASCEND, is a charity based in South Oxhey that challenges perceived barriers to education and training, providing people with more choice and control over their lives’ opportunities.
As part of this collaboration, on Friday 27th September, PiLON was honoured to deliver a Conflict & Resolution training workshop, held by Lynne Buckle, PiLON’s HR Business Partner. The workshop was attended by 9 delegates, all of whom were Thrive residents. The course looked at ways to manage conflict before issues develop and provide simple techniques to manage anger and realise others’ perspectives.
The attendees were surprised by the insight provided by the course and excellent feedback has been received:

Based on the success and feedback of this session, further topics and training have been scheduled, with residents keen to attend. Workshops on Interviewing Techniques and Basic Communication Skills will be delivered over the coming months.
