DESCRIPTION
In October 2020, Enfield Council appointed PiLON to deliver their Kitchen and Bathroom replacements and Electrical works programme. We appointed the same Management Team working on Enfield’s Aids and Adaptions programme to oversee this new workstream. We also utilised some of the site teams working on the A&A works, including operatives, a Resident Liaison Officer, and qualified supervisors who brought their existing knowledge of Enfield’s stock and ways of working to support the mobilisation and programme delivery.
Once works were underway, we employed a full- time RLO and Site Manager from within the London Borough Enfield, and we gradually inducted local trades-people for the project. Our carefully considered mix of local, newly recruited, and long-standing employees with existing experience with Enfield has been recognised by the client as adding value to our delivery. The contract is currently delivering an average of 20 components/per week (kitchens/bathrooms/rewires), with 90% of the resources being local.
As per all PiLON Kitchen and Bathroom projects, our 100% in- house delivery of works enables greater control over quality. A unique QR code on PiLON Passports allows both residents and Enfield representatives to check the qualifications of their assigned trades-people. The stringent safety processes implemented by SHEQ Manager Sid Clark and our management’s dedication on-site has maintained a record of 0 RIDDOR incidents.
Before finishing in a property, our teams educate residents on how to use and care for their new kitchen bathroom, which we know minimises repairs calls.
“I am very satisfied with the Kitchen and Bathroom, the workers were excellent and hard working, no trouble at all. I was kept informed everyday of work progress.”
