Materials Controller

Full-time, various locations

Location: Due to growth, we are recruiting for projects in any of the following locations – Derby, Cambridge, Watford, Enfield

Salary range: £20,000 – £23,000 per annum

Contract type: Permanent, full-time role

We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working, reliable and experienced Materials Controller with great communication, common sense and customer service skills.

Main Objectives of the role:

  • Receiving and unpacking material deliveries
  • Extracting and loading materials for transport
  • Cycle counting to ensure orders match materials received and materials are in good condition
  • Transporting materials using pallet trucks handling equipment
  • Disposing of waste materials safely, in line with HSE regulations
  • Stock control and monthly inventories
  • Work collaboratively as part of the site team to deliver the required services in line with the contract requirements following company policy and procedures.

 Must-haves and skills required:

  • Customer focused mindset
  • Problem solving skills, to allow you to deal with complaints and challenges in a calm and professional manner
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Time keeping and reliability
  • Prioritisation skills and flexibility required in order to meet commitments and deadlines
  • Organised and excellent administration skills
  • Full, clean UK driving license and access to own vehicle that can be driven for work purposes


Desired qualifications (however, we can support you to get these, if required):

  • Asbestos Awareness Training
  • First Aid qualification
  • Health & Safety Awareness
